Abstract
The bibliographical production about Didactics of the Social Sciences has recently been increased thanks to the large number of new publications about this topic. Nevertheless the complexity and the extent of this matter are enough to explain the lack, up to now, of global reference works that turn up to be suitable for researchers. This lack is supposed to encourage all the professionals of this field to furnish new works, which should tend to reach all the aspects of the discipline, from the revision of the process that builds up the diverse Social Sciences to the planning of its didactics from an integrated perspective. The article is devoted to both aspects within a concrete context: the need to contribute to the strengthening of the role of the Social Sciences as a factor of social cohesion and its backup to preserve the environment.
