The objective of this article is to review the most general aspects of aggression and violence. Aggression and aggressive behaviour are realities that have been studied by many authors throughout history. Violent manifestations usually embody broader and complex dimensions that are hardly detectable. The origin of aggressive behaviour unfolds into multiple dimensions. Its scope ranges from physical to psychological or emotional consequences, thus causing an impact not only on the individual who is attacked, but also on the aggressor and the group that witnesses those aggressions.
