Abstract

Good teachers, who effectively develop their professional skills, are able to make an educational system successful.  Consequently, it is of high important to select the most qualified persons to teach; support their development, so that hey become efficient; and ensure that they are giving the best possible instruction. In this article we outline the performance indicators that should be considered: scientific and training competence, educational competence, teaching role, classroom management and relationship with the educational community.
