Abstract

In this article, we present a review of environmental education in various countries within the spanish context. it is necessary to first consider the legislative provisions of the european union, and then analyze key aspects of several countries: Germany, Denmark, Finland, Portugal, France, and England. it is interesting to contrast the relationship between national legislative frameworks and local realities, referencing the centralization of educational curricula in countries like France and the openness of nordic countries to regional, local, and even private organizational approaches. Results reveal similar concerns but with different fundamental references, ranging from the circular economy as a motive in Finland to consumer economy in Portugal or ecological footprint in the new english legislation scheduled for 2025. Examples of educational institutions that serve as benchmarks are included for various reasons, such as Denmark's outdoor schools and Hamburg's regional-scale model
