Abstract

In Brazil, continuing education is provided for in the official documents that govern national education, and it is the duty of states and municipalities to provide it to teachers. However, there are still weaknesses in the ongoing professional development offered by government bodies, as it often covers general topics and involves a significant number of professionals, which hinders dialogue and the exchange of experiences. Additionally, the topics are usually motivational in nature, disregarding the context and challenges that arise daily in the school environment. considering these weaknesses and aiming to identify possibilities within the scope of educational management regarding the direction of this training, this text describes and ana lyzes how a proposal for collaborative ongoing professional development in loco was implement ed by the management team of a municipal center for early childhood education (cmei). This is an experiential report in which we present aspects of the collaborative ongoing profesional development in loco and the role of the school management team in this process, as well as how it was organized, implemented, and the results obtained from this training proposa.
