Abstract

The descentralization of the permanent training institutions gives birth to the Teachers' Training Centers in Spain. The Training experiences began between 1984 and 1989 and the training model consolidates in a second period (between 1989-1993) together with the different training system. Outstanding samples of these experiences are two programmes: Drugs Dependence Prevention and the official "Living together is living"; both of them are examples of the remarkable role played by social educators as coordinators between Teachers' Training Centers and other social and educational institutions.
